Student Smart Credit Guide
Pay later when working with a tutor or intermediary who supports the Smart Credit feature
What is Smart Credit?
Smart Credit is a feature that allows you as a student to receive the service first and pay later. When working with a tutor or intermediary who supports this feature, you can request a service without upfront payment, then repay the amount within a specified period (30 days).
This feature is designed to make it easier for you to get academic help even if you don't have the full amount available right now.
When is This Feature Available?
Important Notice: Smart Credit is available only for direct assignments with a tutor or intermediary who supports and activates the feature for you. It is not available for all requests.
Available When
- You choose a tutor or intermediary who supports Smart Credit
- You are eligible based on your platform history
- The request is a direct assignment
- You haven't exceeded your credit limit
Not Available When
- Indirect assignments (platform matches you)
- The tutor/intermediary doesn't support the feature
- Your account is unverified or new
- You have outstanding unpaid credit
Student Eligibility Requirements
To use the pay-later feature, you must meet the following requirements:
- ✓ Good payment history — You've paid your previous dues on time
- ✓ Complete profile — You've filled in all required account information
- ✓ Verified identity — You've verified your identity through the platform
- ✓ Sufficient membership duration — You've been active on the platform for a sufficient period
- ✓ Previous completed orders — You've successfully completed previous orders
The system automatically calculates a credit score for you based on these criteria. The better your record, the higher your available credit limit.
How to Use Smart Credit
Request a Service
Create a service request and choose a tutor or intermediary who supports Smart Credit (look for the distinctive badge on their profile).
Choose "Pay Later"
When accepting an offer, the "Pay Later" option will appear if you're eligible. Select this option instead of upfront payment.
Example: A 200 SAR service → choose "Pay Later" → service is delivered → repay 200 SAR within 30 days.
Receive the Service
The tutor/intermediary delivers the service as usual. You follow the work and receive it the same way as always.
Repay Within 30 Days
After receiving the service, you have 30 days to repay the amount. You can pay in full or in installments.
Repayment Options
You can repay from your platform wallet or through available payment methods (credit card, Mada, bank transfer).
What Happens If You're Late on Payment?
The platform handles late payments progressively:
Stage 1: Reminder Notifications
Before and after the due date, you'll receive reminder notifications to repay. This is your opportunity to settle the amount without any consequences.
Stage 2: Account Suspension
If you exceed the grace period without payment, your account is temporarily suspended. You won't be able to create new requests until you repay the outstanding amount.
Stage 3: Negative Report
In case of prolonged non-payment, a negative report is recorded in your credit history on the platform, preventing you from using Smart Credit in the future and affecting your credit limit.
Tip: If you're having difficulty with repayment, contact support before the deadline. Our team can help you arrange a suitable payment plan.
Credit Limit
Each eligible student receives a credit limit that defines the maximum amount they can use through Smart Credit.
How is Your Credit Limit Calculated?
- Previous payment and commitment history
- Number of successfully completed orders
- Active membership duration
- Profile completeness and verification
How to Increase Your Credit Limit?
- Always repay on time
- Complete more orders successfully
- Maintain a complete profile
- Avoid disputes and issues
Example: Your credit limit is 500 SAR → you use 200 SAR for a service → 300 SAR remains available → when you repay the 200 → your limit returns to 500 SAR.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do all tutors support Smart Credit?
No. Smart Credit is an optional feature that eligible tutors or intermediaries can activate. Look for the distinctive badge on the tutor's/intermediary's profile to know who supports it.
Are there additional fees for paying later?
No. The amount you repay is the same as the original service cost with no additional fees or interest.
What if I'm not satisfied with the service?
You can open a dispute as usual. The student protection system works the same way whether you paid upfront or used Smart Credit. Read the Payment Protection Guide.
What is the repayment grace period?
The grace period is 30 days from the service delivery date. You can repay in full or in installments within this period.
Can I use Smart Credit for multiple requests?
Yes, as long as you haven't exceeded your available credit limit. For example, if your limit is 500 SAR and you've used 200, you still have 300 SAR available for other requests.
How do I know my available credit limit?
Your available credit limit appears in your dashboard when requesting a service from a tutor who supports Smart Credit.
What happens if I'm late on repayment?
The platform sends reminder notifications first. If the delay continues, your account is temporarily suspended. In case of prolonged non-payment, a negative report is recorded in your credit history.
