Permission Categories

Permissions are divided into 6 main categories

Communication Permissions

can_reply

Reply to Messages

Allows the tutor to reply to client messages in the conversation.

✅ Enabled

Tutor can send text messages to the client

❌ Disabled

Tutor sees messages but cannot reply

When to enable? When you want the tutor to communicate directly with the client.

Send Files

Allows the tutor to attach and send files in the conversation.

✅ Enabled

Tutor can upload and send files to the client

❌ Disabled

Tutor cannot send files (you must send them)

Update Progress

Allows the tutor to send progress updates about the work.

Submit Work Important

Allows the tutor to submit the final work to the client.

⚠️ Warning: Enabling this means the tutor can deliver work directly to the client without your review.

Tip: If you want to review work before delivery, keep this permission disabled.

These permissions control how the tutor appears to the client

Send as Owner Very Important

All tutor messages appear to the client as if from you (the owner).

Without Permission

Ahmed (Tutor) Project completed

With Permission

Mohammed (You) Project completed

When to use? When you want the client to think you're working on the project.

Visible to Client

Determines if the tutor is visible to the client in conversation and project.

Show Name to Client

If tutor is visible, show real name or alias?

Alias for Client

The alias shown to the client instead of the tutor's real name.

Hide Client Identity Protection

Completely hide client identity from the tutor. Tutor only sees an alias.

Without Hiding

Tutor sees: Khalid Mohammed

With Hiding

Tutor sees: Client #1234

When to use? When you want to protect your client relationship and prevent direct contact between client and tutor.

Allows tutor to access the client's personal profile.

Permission Conflicts

Some permissions cannot be enabled together. The system detects conflicts and fixes them automatically.

Identity Conflict

If you enable send_as_owner, visible_to_client is automatically disabled.

Reason: Tutor cannot send as you and be visible at the same time.

Privacy Conflict

If you enable hide_client_identity, can_view_client_profile is automatically disabled.

Reason: Cannot hide client identity and allow profile viewing simultaneously.
